| Case Study: The Headhunter: Creating a secure centralized database for the company data |
|
|
Challenge
ENR Services is a headhunter firm for executive level personnel in the heavy construction industry. ENR wanted to expand operations by opening additional offices in other cities. The client presented several challenges:
- A headhunter's collection of data is the lifeblood of the business, and must be kept secure at all costs.
- The recruiters that work for the headhunter need access to the data in order to do their jobs.
- When working from multiple offices, recruiters must be able to have access to current data.
- The headhunter did not have a web server located in the main office.
Solution
VirtualNerds responded to the challenges by adding two additional "layers" to the client's existing website, and by creating a secure centralized database for the company data.
Result
The additional layers consist of an Administrator's Control Panel and a Recruiter Workspace.
The Control Panel allows the owner to:
- Control recruiter access.
- Generate reports on recruiter activity.
- Manage 100% of the enterprise data including manual back ups.
- All of the Recruiter functions are duplicated in the Control Panel.
The Recruiter Workspace allows recruiters to:
- Login to a virtual office from any Internet connection.
- Recruiters have access to client and applicant data.
- Send email to clients with the option to attach applicant resumes.
- The system automatically logs all activity related to an applicant, and allows recruiters to make manual journal entries.
The company database is hosted on a secure server by a reliable company that performs tape back ups every twenty-four hours.
Additional functions allow website visitors to request a call from a recruiter, or submit an application, and upload supporting documents from forms located on the site.
The system provides unlimited growth potential for the business, data security, and the only software required to access this system is a common web browser.
